Hi,
I almost bought a Fit a year ago. They had *just* hit the market. They are a North American version of an extremely popular European car, although I can't remember the name of the European version. They've been selling for years in Europe. The point of the name "Fit" is that they are designed so you can fit a lot of stuff inside the small car. There are many ways of folding down the seats, etc. that allow you to take advantage of all the space.
I ended up passing on the Fit because, although I thought the car was great, the financing rate for was really high. I finally bought a Toyota Matrix. The Matrix was more expensive, but the interest on the financing was much lower. My monthly payments have ended up being almost exactly the same, but with the Matrix, more of my money is going towards paying down the principle amount, and not being wasted on interest. I love my Matrix, but know I would have really like the Fit as well.
HTH,
Sandra
