Anyone drive a Honda Fit--opinions please

I am thinking of purchasing a new car on the American market, the 2007 Honda Fit. I never buy new cars, so this is a big deal for me. I would love to hear opinions from anyone who drives this car. Please tell me the good along with the bad. The car looks perfect to me, so I am concerned that maybe I may be blinded to a shortcoming or two.

I love Honda products but I don't own a Fit. You can lookup car reviews at www.edmunds.com. Just look at new cars and find the Honda Fit, you will see professional as well as consumer reviews. This is a great way to find out the pros and cons of owning this car. I have heard great things about the Fit. Good luck!

I hadn't heard of the Fit, so I had to google it and take a peek. Cute car! I agree that edmunds is an excellent resource for car-buying. It helped me settle on the Civic *and* get a good deal on it. I've been a very happy Honda customer.

I don't really know anything about the car, but I recently went to lunch with my parents and we came out of the resterant and a little blue FIT was parked next to us. (I think it's cute)
My Mom said "this should be YOUR car..........it's name is FIT !"
:D :p
So, I think it's the perfect car for a Catheite !!:7 :7

Hi,

I almost bought a Fit a year ago. They had *just* hit the market. They are a North American version of an extremely popular European car, although I can't remember the name of the European version. They've been selling for years in Europe. The point of the name "Fit" is that they are designed so you can fit a lot of stuff inside the small car. There are many ways of folding down the seats, etc. that allow you to take advantage of all the space.

I ended up passing on the Fit because, although I thought the car was great, the financing rate for was really high. I finally bought a Toyota Matrix. The Matrix was more expensive, but the interest on the financing was much lower. My monthly payments have ended up being almost exactly the same, but with the Matrix, more of my money is going towards paying down the principle amount, and not being wasted on interest. I love my Matrix, but know I would have really like the Fit as well.

My next door neighbor bought a Fit about a year ago.

He's a mechanical engineer, and really into cars, so he did massive research before he bought this car. He loves it! His is red. I don't know anything specific about it to tell you, but I can tell you that he enjoys his.

The only thing I know about the FIT is that it gets really good mileage. A friend of mine has one and also a neigbhour. I decided to get a Civic over a Corolla and a Mazda3.
Also, you can go to MSN. auto section for a complete review of the car, get pricing in your area, plus Consumer Reports stats on it too.
My friend loves the car.
Honda is a good brand. The FIT is made overseas whereas the Pilot, Accord, and Civic are assembled in IN.

Have fun!!
