Amy and Tracey

Hi All!

If I have Tracey's HISM and her Cardio Sweatfest and Step Sweatfest do I need to get her older ones? Are they the same? Better cardio?

Also, with Amy - I have her Kickbox and Hi/Lo Xtreme - should I look at her older ones? Which ones for an excellent cardio workout?

TIA for your help!

Hi Tygra :)

I have all of Amy's and all of Tracey's w/o's except for the step ones...I usually prefer Cathe's step over anyone else's...that said, though, I absolutely love all of the ones I have from both instructors. I prefer Tracey's KB Sweatfest over her first KB (though I like that one too). Love the sculpt w/o from the first KB w/o. Her Core Strength & Conditioning is good as well. Amy's KBX is probably my fave, but love Cardio Pump Hi-Lo and A-Team Bootcamp. Abs & Stretch is good also. :)

I didn't like Tracey's older kickbox workout, but I like her new one.

Amy's older cardio workouts are good, but the two that have some weight work in them are extremely short. Her step workout was really fun, but a little complicated. It was also very high impact. I ended up with my worst ever Plantar Fasciitis flair up after repeatedly using that one, so I traded it away. If you like pounding non-stop high impact and are willing to invest the time to learn the moves, it is a lot of fun. I like Amy's newer series much better than the first one.

I love ALL of the Amy's I own. After getting KBX and HLX I traded for some of her "older" workouts and purchased what I couldn't trade for including Cardio Pump Step, Cardio Pump Hi/Lo, Abs & Stretch, Advanced Step Challenge, and All Pump (ended up with that for free due to a shipping mistake). I love CPS and CPHL for when I want a fun, tough, sweaty workout that hits on everying in under one hour. Also, LOVE Advanced Step Challenge. I like Amy's choreography a lot in that it is somewhat more complex than say Cathe but the intensity is up there. I can't wait for ASC2 that Amy plans on filming this fall. I am new to the Amy bandwagon and before my new CIA's arrived I was reaching for Amy's workouts more than even my Cathe's...gasp!!!

I was really excited about Tracey when she came on the scene. I love HISM and am hoping for a HISM2 in the future. I like HIKBC quite a bit and hope to see more of this type of choreography in the future. I also like CS&C b/c it is quite different from the way I normally work my core.

I don't like Cardio Sweatfest. Although, quite a few people seem to like it. I find it boring and repetitive and I'm trying to talk myslef into doing it again before trying to trade it away, but I just haven't been motivated to do it again. I've done the hi/lo portion twice and I tolerated it the second time around. I don't know why but I'm not clicking with this workout at all. I've done Sculpt Sweatfest once. I think it is a good workout but again, one I will not reach for often, although, I do think it's a needed workout b/c it works smaller muscle groups and has some unique exercises in it. I will keep this one, I think, and hope that it grows on me. I don't have the Step Sweatfest so I can't speak to that one.

Most of the older Amy's are available on Netflix as well as at both Overstock.com and (I think) deepdiscountdvd.com. The price points are pretty low!

I can't speak to her older stuff, but I traded for Tracey's Cardio Sweatfest and did most of the KB today. I really liked this workout, even though I agree that some of the combos are awkward (esp toward the end), but I thought the KB was different enough from the other stuff I own to be interesting and fun. I wore 1-pound gloves and my arms are pretty tired!

Just thought I'd throw in a positive .02 about Tracey's new stuff since the reviews are so mixed. :)
