Did anyone else here about the 16,000 some votes that Chris did not get because AI screwed up??!!! So I wonder what they are going to do about this???? I am so mad!!!!!! Anyhoo, heard that Chris is going to be the lead singer for the group "Fuse" now. He is going to go far and so I am not surprised he was snatched up by a popular band already.

I had read somewhere else that there was a problem with the phone lines but got no specifics. I wonder if this is really true. WOW, that's a huge mixup!! Let us know if you hear anything else.

I know it's funny.. it's the only thing keeping me moderately interested in AI right now. I think they realize what a huge draw Chris was.

Personally I like the Chris joining a band rather than the AI... but it's interesting for sure!

I was thinking of fuse tv when I posted that. My brain has been on overdrive this week! GOSH! Either way, Chris turns out to be a winner, huh?

If we all think back, there seemed to be a voting controversy every single year of AI. There has been some kind of outrage every year. In the end, even being the winner will not guarantee the most success. The big Chris fans can support him by buying his CD's in record (pun intended) numbers and flocking to his concerts.

Getting upset over the voting does none of us any good. True talent is what determines the real American Idol, not speed dial numbers. We'll all check back a year from now and see who is doing the best after being distanced from the contest.

Charlotte..I heard this on T.V. while doing the dishes and rushed to the forums to see if there was a post about it and here it is. I immediately thought of you when I heard the news. I think they actually re-did a show last year because the numbers were wrong? I know I've had trouble getting through for the person I wanted to vote for and gave up. I guess it's not a fool-proof system.

I REALLY wanted to Chris to win, and I was really mad to when I heard. But, as far as Chris's career goes...he is already a winner. But, I think this stinks.
 
I had heard that Ryan accidentally gave one of Catherine's numbers when he announced the numbers to call for Chris.

If this is the case, they should bring him back and just back-track.

I remember last year, there was some problem with the wrong numbers being shown one week, so they didn't do an elimination (because they caught that goof-up in time).
 
I think Chris would ROCK the house w/ Fuel & it would be so much more for him than just winning AI. Whatever happens, it gave him a great boost towards his future musical career. WHOOT!

It's all about ratings and $$ so I'm sure AI is trying to figure out how to keep the Chris contingent engaged!

I'm one of many who won't be watching - same as my kids... unless they can figure out a way to bring Chris back on.... Simon's brilliant and he knows Catherine doesn't have it- just another pretty face, Taylor will get old fast - other than last weeks's 2nd show he has looked like a drunk at a wedding - talking. Elliot has done well but no charisma...

Hmmm losing folks who watched - trying to market someone who doesn't have what it takes.... Chris getting a contract that they won't get any $$$ out of...

Will be interesting to see what Simon and Nigle come up with!
