Hi ~a little backround. I have lost 60lbs in the last year and have 60 more to lose. I have done this with watching my diet and walking. I would like to step it up, but I also have had knee surgery on one knee and the other is kinda of funky. I dont think step is an option with my knees. I am 55 years old and think I would like to try the low impact series. Which one would I start with? Turbo Barre looks good. Where would I get the turbo bar? Any other of the series that would be a good starting point? How many times a week should they be done? Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks!

Joan

Congrats on the weight loss! Turbo barre would be a good option. I would also recommend The Bar Method dvds. You don't have to use the bar, you can use the back of a chair, which is what I'd recommend if you have one around the right height. The Bar Method dvds are recommended to use 3-4 times a week. I think Cathe's turbo barre is harder and bar method is not easy. If you really want the bar, I believe you can find the turbo tower on the walmart website. To me the turbo tower doesn't look all that sturdy but I don't have one, I do have a fluidity bar which I purchased off craigslist though.

Here's the page from walmart but they don't have it right now: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Altus-Be-Fit-Look-Fit-Turbo-Tower/15641962
Amazon is also out of stock: http://www.amazon.com/Altus-Athletic-Turbo-Tower/dp/B0032HW1B4/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

This is what I have: http://www.amazon.com/Fluidity-Fitn...8&qid=1344557142&sr=1-1&keywords=fluidity+bar
