advice for restarting after illness

I've been sick for about 10 days with no exercise of any kind. So to ease myself back into it, I did a short 20 min band workout from Exercise tv. I was tired afterwards and my muscles tired easily during the workout, but I plan on doing either a Hiit workout or Drill Max premix tomorrow and start getting back into the swing of things.
My question is this: Does anyone think either of these is too much? I really want to workout and have never done either of these dvd's so I don't know if I'm doing too much too soon.

Er.....yes! Either of those two suggested workouts would be too much right now!

Take baby steps back into it until you feel stronger. You just said that after a short workout yesterday you felt tired and had achy muscles, ergo, you are not at all ready for Drill Max or anything like it, especially since you have never done either of these two workouts before and you do not know how to pace them.

Start off by treating yourself as an intermediate exerciser for a week, maybe two. get out your good old Cathe DVDs like Rythmic Step, Power Max, Step Blast (minus the blasts) or the cardio portions of CTX and do a solid 30 mins, steady state cardio and do this several times, working your way up to completing the whole workout, before you attempt any interval work, Drill Max, or HiiT work.

You need to get totally back to the fitness place you were at before the 10 days of sickness before attempting those two workouts you mentioned. Otherwise you could get injured or end up with some horrid relapse...or just feel like a failure because you can't do some of Cathe's toughest workouts. If you start back slowly and gradually, you set yourself up for success.

I have been suffering from sinus infection and ear infection since Valentines
Day I am on my second round of antibiotics and I attempted Basic Step Sunday night and my balance was so unsteady then I did Total Body Stretching with the ball I was sick to my stomach after, so I know that my body is telling me to go easier so I have been sticking with Turbo Jam 20 min cardio party and putting very little effort into it so I don't make things worst. My point being if you go to hard to quickly you will have a set back and you don't want that.

Thanks for the input. I have been so darn anxious to try my new Cathe dvd's that I was ready to push it. Add to that my frustration because I missed my test in Tai Chi this week because of this stupid lingering illness. :(
