Abdominal Video - Post-Partum (X-Post)

Hello,
I had a baby 7 weeks ago via c-section. My abs are in desperate need of rehab! Can someone suggest a great video that is focused on just ab work - something 10-30 minutes long that I can do daily along with my other workouts?
Thank you!

Hi. Congrats on the new addition!:)

You know you don't need to work your abs every day in order to get results. Working them every other day (3-4x per week) is enough. If you want a tough, longer collection of ab work outs then why not go for Coremax? It has 3 work outs that are 20 mins each. One uses a med ball, one a stability ball and the other is just regular ab work. There are also a few premixes to choose from to change it up.

Oh, and the MOST IMPORTANT factor for great abs...don't forget to eat clean!:)

Good Luck!

Please take it easy! I way overtrained my abs after my first csection, and still regret it. Until you get rid of all of those hormones still floating around from pregnancy, you will still feel a bit mushy. It just takes time. Try and focus on cardio to lose the baby pounds and a clean (super clean) diet, and you can focus on your abs in a couple of months, when they are totally ready for it. Congrats on your new little one!

Congratulations!

I agree with Mikkia on the take it easy part. You're still not very far out from your delivery.

As for helping with abs, once it's OK with your doctor, I'd also recommend including a stability challenge with your non-ab focused workouts. For instance, doing biceps curls standing on one foot with the other foot resting on a stability ball, like Cathe does in Push-Pull. This will work your core a little more indirectly on your non-ab focused days.

I also had a c-section (a little over 2 years ago). Core Max helped my abs get into shape. Of course, you have to eat clean too. I noticed such a difference that I wrote to Cathe about how happy I was with the results. I know that you can't "spot train" according to the experts, but I swear my bulge went down considerably and my pants fit much better. Good luck!
