Oh Sara- once again, I am sooo sorry for what you and your family are going through. (see my post to your thread).
I have to say that I was truly impressed by my DS's 3rd grade teacher today. You know how you typically DREAD that phone call from the teacher after school. Well this one totally shocked me in a GOOD way.
DS has SEVERE food alleries to (in order)... Walnuts, Peanuts, Tree-nuts, Shellfish, fish and some meds.
Each year, the classroom gets some sort of 'creature' to learn about it. Last year it was live eggs and the chicks that are born from them. This year, it is some sort of dry-land crab-thing. The only food this crab can eat is dried shrimp. So, she called me on my cell to make sure what the parameters were on IF Randy could feed shrimp to the crab. I said - not a good idea and that was totally fine with her. I am VERY impressed with her insight to protect my son. WOW!
