Start of another week,

Magnolia glad son is going to be with family and safe.

My brother is coming to visit Monday. I hope I can put him to work answering phones etc so I can get wo in.

I ended up with sore throat and cold. Probably from Elliot. I did get 30 minutes on treadmill. I tried CC. I think it did make me walk a little faster.

Joan, thanks and please take care of that throat! Those are two words that singers hate to hear together!

Starting my second week of CLX. I did Burn Circuit 1 this morning, and went a little heavier on some of the exercises. Not too bad.

Week two – yay!! I am trying to go as heavy as I can also. I did Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism for my cardio. I have to say I liked it. It has no dance it’s straight athletic drills. VERY hard on the knees though. I had to modify a lot of jumping still burned 250+ calories.

Joan - Kids and germs… what’ca gonna do? I hope you recover quickly! How’s you DIL and Son doing?

I am on the second week also. I HAVE to get my diet straight. I seem to be obsessed with sugar lately. I feel like an addict some afternoons. :eek: Usually starting around 3ish I just nibble here and there til dinner. :eek:

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Ladies!

Jann, I've been craving carbs more lately. Is it just me, or does CLX just seem to have that effect? And I'm more sleepy! Anyway, I am trying to make sure I drink enough water and sleep enough--those are usually the culprits when I want to binge--but I'm still hungry. So I've been eating a little more.

I did Burn Intervals and Ab Burner today. I like those, they're challenging, and I really feel it when I've finished. Right now, I'm looking forward to bed time, though. Hope I will build up my endurance soon enough.

Ds and dil seem to be ok.

I just read an article that said taking a multivitamin may make you less hungry when you're dieting. A Canadian study thinks it short-circuits the body's natural response to calorie cutting , which is to boost appetite to counter vitamin deficiencies. I don't take a vitamin if I eat total cereal , Nutrition calculator yells at me if some vitamins are over limit.

I walked 2.25 miles on treadmill - at least it was something. With this cold I didn't want to do anything.

Magnolia YES -- I think any strength workouts makes me more hungry. I actually made it through the afternoon with no sugar. Now today… :confused:
I like Burn Intervals too its one of favorites.

Joan I am sorry that cold has you down. Good for you getting on the treadmill. The workouts will be there when you are ready. ((I know that’s easier said than done!!)) I started yet again with the nutrition manger. I really want to stick with it… I know it works! [kicking my own butt]

Yesterday I did 2 segments of LIC and finished up on the treadmill. Today is back to CLX then outside yard work. It’s suppose to be near 70 today! :D

Joan, wow! That's interesting about vitamins. Usually I do take supplements, but I had several that contained sulphur, which I'm allergic to. Since I neglected to read the labels (duh!), I didn't realize it was there until I had a very bad reaction. I thought I would give myself about two weeks with no supplements to give my system a chance to clear out. Next week, I'll start again with my basic vitamins which I've taken for a long time and know won't cause any problems. I'll be reading labels very carefully after that.

Jann, I don't know where you are that it can be 70 degrees, but I'm very jealous! Enjoy, I think great weather is good for the soul. It's not horrible here, at least it's sunny today, but it's still a little cool for a transplanted Southern girl!

Did Burn Circuit 2 this morning. I'm pushing it as hard as I can, shaking muscles and all. Those Triple Threat Push-Ups are killers! Anyway, my muscles were still shaking after the workout. Hope that's a good sign.

Hi girls -- we were bumped to page 3 :eek:

I am checking in with PC2 today and some treadmill and little kickboxing. My shoulders were very stiff.

Magnolia my legs shake a lot too. Especially on those one legged anythings! :)

I take multivitamin everyday actually twice a day. I break it in half take half in the morning and half with dinner. That seems to work the best for me.

I live in central Maryland. It didn't make it to 70 yesterday but, it was warm enough to get out side and do a little gardening. I think I have everything cut back that needs to be cut back now.
I can see bits of green all over and my bulbs are up out of the ground.
 
Hi ladies,

I started to check in yesterday and had the post half written when the phone rang and people started coming to pick up returns. I never got back. I did do sts disc 8 on Wednesday. I've decided to do whatever I can whenever I can and forget about it until after tax season. I won't take rest week because I've already had it.

I know I need to get back to nutrition manager. I think I have gained some weight. I don't want to know for sure because I don't want to feel bad about it until I have some control of time and food. It seems like I can do exercise or food at one time.(or neither right now) I'm sure nutrition is the key for me to lose weight.(but only along with cardio) I'd rather lift weights but I have never lost just lifting.

Hi Ladies!

I am not sure what happened to last week! I am having a hard time keeping up with you all, but everyone sounds both busy and productive. I am recovering from a "tennis elbow" type feeling that I think came from too much tricep weight- not sure though.

Joan, does tax season ever really end? You must be mindboggled by now.

The weight training makes me hungry too! So much so, I still have not dropped any pounds. Unbelievable!! Ia ran into a girl yesterday that I hadn't seen in a while and she was down 25 lbs from Zumba! Anyone heard of that?

It's nasty here today (Florida) so its housework for me. Enjoy your Saturday!

Beth, I used to have a set of Zumba DVDs. I was unimpressed with them, but I think everyone is different.

Jann, I am pre-viewing the Push phase. Now I know what was meant by different workout wardrobe! However, Chalene can workout in black leather and feather boas for all I care, as long as these workouts deliver the results I want. I have a new motto: Embrace the shake! I like the way I feel today after my second week of Burn phase. I seem to be somewhat exhausted later in the afternoon, and I really need a full 8 hours of sleep now. I also think I probably need to be more careful of what I'm eating.

I hope y'all had a lovely first day of spring. We had snow showers here, without accumulation, but it was cold. I live on Long Island. I sometimes really want to go back home to Georgia a lot.

Magnolia I LOVE the push phase. I agree about Charlene’s clothing. As long as I am getting results. I am so glad that you are liking this system. :D

Hey Joan!

I managed to pull something in my left arm so I am backing off weights – yet again – for a couple of days. I learn a while back not to mess with my shoulders. The crazy thing is I did it in the garden. :(
I jumped on the treadmill for 60 minutes and managed to burn 300 calories so I am happy about that!
