Good Morning:

Today was cardio, I-Tread 40 Minutes 284 calories. We get the results of the 2 day blood test series that the vet did on my dog. I sure hope they have good news.

I think I am going back to the 4DS for next week, doing 20 minutes of some type of cardio, then the weight work. I will need to work into this Amy Bento workout in a different way. Maybe make it a one part per day series or something.

I am having blood drawn this morning for my yearly check up so no food or anything until that is over x(

Todays menu:
Post workout: nothing
B- nothing
s: LF Yogurt
L: Ham on WW, grapes, skim milk
S: apple & stringster cheese
D: Chicken souvalki salad with a pita on the side
S: Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich or WW ice cream bar

Anyone have fun plans for the weekend?

Jen:
The secret of your fruit salad does sound like the paper towel part soaking up a lot of the water so the dressing does not get watered down. I will have to remember that tip the next time I make that. Thanks for the well wishes for Clancy.

Garance:
Yes, please post the recipe. Glad you are liking the shoes! I too, am ready for a full weight workout from Cathe. I do like the weight part of 4DS, but this new series is so much like P90X, only without Tony Horton! Yeah!:7 . He has some cardio in that series that I can't do with my knees, Plyo jumping etc. I only hope that the workouts are not longer than an hour.x(

Have a great day!

Hi Deb and later posters--

I forgot my pie recipe. I will try to remember tomorrow. I almost didn't do anything this morning because last night my knee was really achy. I managed to do the 37 minutes of LIS on the 4-inch step, and at the end of it, I thought, "Oh no!" because my knee was really hurting. I took some ibuprofen, showered, and by 9 A.M., it was feeling excellent. I just cannot figure this injury out. It seems to be okay, and then all of a sudden, kaflooey, it's hurting again.

Fun things over the weekend--hmm. Well, first off, I have time to catch up, which I really haven't had since I returned from Oxford. No tutorials next week, which are very time-consuming. Sunday night, DH and I are going out to dinner as part of a fundraiser for the Rural Lands Foundation. I am looking forward to wearing this absolutely gorgeous dress I bought from myshape.com. Sunday we are also getting some help from the Williams Crew team (their fundraiser) in cleaning up my gardens, which I never finished doing, thinking I would be able to do so when I returned from Oxford, but cannot do because of my knee.

I plan on watching Amarcord by Fellini at some point, because one of my students is doing a presentation on Wednesday on Fellini and Bergman, and I haven't watched this film in years.

I guess that's about all. The usual cleaning and food shopping of course.

Hope all is well with your dog, Deb.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Hi Deb and Garance and late posters,

Today is my day off. Yesterday I ran 5.5 miles and felt great! we were running at 1 minute faster per mile than last week. Let me tell you those dunes have made such a great difference in my running.

Tonight we are going to dinner and dancing to a place called Mama Juana's. We will be dancing salsa, merenge and cumbias until the wee hours.

Saturday I will be running 10 miles and visiting my MIL to celebrate her 82nd birthday. Sunday I will be running a 5k to raise money for breast cancer and as a team to honor my friend Jeannie. Last year we had 52 runners.

Monday I plan to do the dunes and then go to breakfast with all of my dune buddies.

Deb, I hope that you get good news regarding you dog.

Garance, I wish that I could see you in your beautiful dress. Have fun!

Linny and Jen, have a great weekend!
