Post partum mamas - how far are you from being back?

I am 8 weeks postparum with my second. I have about 5 pounds to lose and my once flat belly now looks like a mommy tummy. I did find though once I weaned my first daughter at 9 months post partum, I quickly lost the remainder of the weight, plus some.

Rachel, according to a booklet I have: estimate your calorie needs by multiplying current weight by 15 and adding 500 calories. If you are active, adjust numbers accordingly. On this diet you should expect to lose a pound every 2-3 weeks. the min. amount of calories for a nursing mom is 1800 a...

    pacifiers

My first wouldn't take a pacifier. I opted not to offer this baby one. Most people I know introduce a pacifer early, even newborn age. Recent sudies even show pacifiers even slightly reduce the risk of SIDS. I have opted not to use a pacifier, not because of medical reasons but the problems I...

How are all the new mommys doing??

Morris, it was recommended to me to wait 2 weeks before starting a bottle. I sometimes pump or give Ashley formula. She actually loves her bottles. I introduced the bottle too late with dd#1 and she refused to drink from a bottle. Glad the blood pressure is coming down. Mary, keep us posted on...

Mary, sleep, what is that? Ashley is nursing every 2-3 hours at night as well but does nurse quickly and goes back into her bassinet at night. Her older sister was a nightmare at this age, nursing for an hour then staying up an hour or 2 at night. I have been working out when oldest naps, so no...
