kinda warm here today, in 60's they say....

Have great workouts (as you all always do!)

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I did Xtrain CLB - minus the cool down (I always start to run out of steam at the 40 minute mark but I endured). I added on 6 minutes of a tapout workout with bands just to try it.

Nice variety this morning, Linda. I admire your commitment to variety and creativity! Always some new mash-up!

Annette - how is your rash? Any idea what caused it?

Nice to see us all checking in yesterday and getting in a workout! or 3!

Have a great day my friends!

Hey y’all!

Great job Linda and Siobhan! Way to kill it.

Linda: Drums AND weights? You’re gonna feel that. But it sounds so fun!

Siobhan: Xtrain is no joke! I feel you on the running out of steam part. Well done. You should be very proud.

I think I’ve finally figured out my hip issue. It’s my QL muscle on the left side. So today is devoted to active recovery. One-sided farmer carries, lots of stretches, walking, abs (opposing muscle groups), etc. I had Step Blast on the roster for today, and I may still attempt a shortened version. We will see.

HAPPY WEEKEND!

Hi everyone! I enjoyed reading your workouts on yesterday’s thread.

Anita:
I missed the Fit Tower series when it came out and they don’t make the actual tower anymore, so I’ve never invested in the series. Do you like it?
We’re lucky that we have enough gym space to leave the FT out. Being that that’s true we love it and it is used in many ways in our gym. We have three sets of the barbell clips so we keep two barbells loaded and ready. It slides partway under our treadmill so it functioned as a medical side rail when I was seeing clients. It can also be used as a barre for our 49” Bellicon rebounder.

The DVDs I did this week came with the FT and I do really like them. It’s a shame that they’re out of print. I do like Cathe’s other barre DVDs, though the music on one of them feels very manic to me. Turbo Barre is actually a favorite.
It is true that a chair can be used as a barre. I like have the real deal for the various pull-ups, push-ups, and band anchoring Cathe does with it. I have a Fluidity barre and like it too but both barres have different uses for me.

And Lannette - a neck injury? wow. that's amazing you've healed yourself, for the most part.

I actually ruptured two discs. Initially, I actually had a brilliant therapist who is both a Chiropractor and Physical Therapist. She knew my background (RN/Medical Exercise Specialist + LMT with Myoskeletal and Myofascial alignment training) so she assessed, gently treated and described to what she needed to change in order for the ruptures to reduce. I then put together my own exercise/flexibility program that I did between sessions. She made it an adventure.

Unfortunately Covid stopped our sessions so I carried on by myself having DH take photos and videos to work from as I would for the clients Orthopedic Physicians would refer to me. DH is also an LMT so he provided massage.

Made it to the gym for an 85 minute circuit and went heavy on the sled for a new record of 708 pounds.
Congratulations!

Nice job Linda and Nora!

Today is Restorative for me. I did Cathe’s Yoga Relax premix 1. That’s all I had time for. I hope to do some foam rolling later.

Hi ladies,

Today I stayed home and did one of my Taebo DVDs called Fat Blasting Cardio which is 45 minutes long. They use bands but I had on my wrist weights and ankle weights for most of the workout. I broke a nice sweat. I am taking Extended Release Tylenol for Arthritis that the doctor suggested and it seems to help.

Nice workouts everyone.

I forgot to address my rash, it is better, I just keep putting my medicine on it and wearing makeup only when going out. So that is helping.
