I've used my Pampered Chef stuff for years, and I love it. A little pricier, but I got it by asking for Pampered Chef gift certificates for my birthday and Christmas. :)
Low Impact Step is somewhat similar, but instead of drills, the toning sections are separated by stepping. I like it, but I prefer Drill Max. It's a tougher workout. Her newer After Burn workout is also a great circuit challenge, even if it is low impact. It's shorter than Drill Max though, but...
Sometimes when I go back to do older workouts, I don't find them as challenging anymore--maybe because I've done them so much or maybe because I'm more fit with some of the higher intensity workouts I've been doing--but Maximum Intensity Cardio is one that always delivers. Such a great cardio...
Glad I'm not the only one who has most of Cathe's DVDs. But I still figure it's cheaper than annual gym memberships, because I do the workouts over and over. :)
I don't think you'd find the IMax DVDs that difficult choreography wise. As another commenter pointed out, they are more drill...
I love this one. I hope she makes another travel DVD. It's really convenient for the hotel room. Slide and Glide is also good for travel as long as you bring the sliding discs and a band along.
I agree--things like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, lactose intolerance, or Celiac's Disease. As a healthcare provider, I'm not a fan of colon cleansing. Here's an article from WebMD you might find useful: Colon Cleansers: Are They Safe?
Good luck. :)
I just did Cardio Core Circuit this am. Definite phew factor. Really gets the heart pumping. A great choice when you don't have a lot of time but want both cardio and ab focus.
I agree--it's a fantastic series. Low impact does not mean low intensity. These workouts can really get the heart rate up. And I love the gliding discs.
I do, too. I think they offer good support for some of the high impact moves that can occur with stepping as well as the pivots and stops. I used to wear Reeboks, but lately I've preferred Nike crosstrainers. The soles are nice and springy. :)
I have a couple pilates and barre workouts that I've only done once or twice, and now they sit collecting dust. They're good workouts, but I guess I just need to accept the fact that these types of workouts bore me. I also bought some urban rebounder DVDs that don't see much action.
In my opinion, Drill Max is a tougher workout with longer cardio bursts and more effective toning. But it's also fifteen minutes longer in length. If I could only have one of them, I'd go with Drill Max. Even if you choose to do the premix of just the strength components, you still get a decent...
There are 10 minutes of hi-low that might be too much and I think about 10 minutes of drills with jumping up on the step and such. Otherwise, I would think the kickboxing and the step workouts would be okay if you do her other workouts of these types. And of course, the toning is similar to her...
