okay, so i am just trying to stay pregnant, but hope i can still start a thread?

happy sunday everyone. anyone traveling this week? i am especially thankful to not be traveling this year:)

hi lisa - will you consider acupuncture too? i used to do it on horses to help them conceive - it worked quite well! as far as finding a person to do it, go online to find a member of the american academy of acupuncturists close by. i think i agree with you about the weights in teh new workouts. pyramids and gym styles still faves, but the new ones are good for time pressure. maybe i will go back to pyramids for a few weeks.

hi anne, hi autumn! good luck with the acupuncture and ttc. at the very least it is wonderful stress relief.

hi jen - is your appointment this week?

hi melanie - hope you don't have too much driving for work during this busy travel week.

hi kristan. you description of pregnancy made me laugh! glad you are not feeling too bad. i cannot imagine being pregnant with 3 at home! it sounds exciting. and who knows, it may be me one day:)

i ran today and am hoping to do me or the pyramids today during ds's nap. last night we went to a tree lighting - it was such fun! bbl

Hi Morris! Thanks for starting the thread! Glad you're sticking around to regardless that you aren't ttc anymore. I love to follow people through their pregnancies! Hoping I get there one day too!

The acupuncture is FABULOUS! We'll see if it works this cycle. Should be ovulating this Thurs or Friday. If anything it's great for my knees too. I usually have pain of 7/10 on normal days. When I had a few sessions, I have NO pain in my knees! I usually dread going up the stairs and try to remember everything I need on the top level. Now, it doesn't phase me! So, I think I'll be doing it to maintain my knees. Anything to keep pain free, especially since I'm not suppose to take anything while TTC.

Maybe the Clomid and Acupuncture will be the double whammy that I need to get things going here!

Melanie - How are you? Is your house still on the market, I can't remember where you were at with that, with winter coming...

Kristan - Feeling o.k. these days?

Lisa - Anything new with you?

Hi Jen, Autumn!

I need to run and bakes some apple and pumpkin pies for next week! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Morris - That is actually a pretty good idea. I really might look into it and my sister goes to one and I'll see if she's happy. Please stick around this thread and update us along the way throughout your pg. I love hearing updates!

Anne - I'm glad the accupuncture is working for you. Now let's see some BFP news from you soon!! Mmmm...pies...can't wait for Thanksgiving food. Nothing new with me. Just trying to drop a few lbs which is really old news.x(

Hi everyone else!!!

I'm off to do my bootcamp 4-day split today. I'm in my 2ww, but I'm not very hopeful because I'm pretty sure we missed our fertile days. We'll see.

Hi,
I did go the dr's yesterday, and he believes that everything is fine. He was very suprised/happy to find out that I already knew about temping, CM, OPKs, timing intercourse, etc. He did an internal and didn't feel any masses and also had me do a urinalysis and sent me for blood work. He said that I should be ovulating and my cycles are very normal. He said not to worry and have fun with it. He explained the chances of getting pregnant (20% chance each month), and said that if I am not pregnant by June to come back in. Boy, I hope he's right.

Autumn-I did ask about my DH stress affecting his sperm, and he said that it does not affect sperm.

Morris-How are you doing? Are you feeling better?

Hi Lisa, Hi Anne, Hi Melanie, Hi Kristan. I hope I didn't forget anyone! Sorry if I did-did not mean to.

I did order Pre-seed lubricant, and it works very well. If you don't know what it is, it is lubricant that is "sperm friendly". I ordered mine from babyhopes.com.

On a complete other topic...check out shoebuy.com for great shoes (no shipping/free returns and great deals). I get all of my son't Stride-Rite shoes there cause they have a great selection in wide. They always offer great deals, and you can always do a search for shoebuy.com coupons on the internet for a coupon code. I am always telling people about that site. It's great! No, I don't work for shoebuy, but I really do love it!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! We do have so much to be thankful for.

Hi Jen,

Your doc sounded right, but I want to address one thing. How long to wait before seeking medical help. In couples who engage in random intercourse, a year of unprotected intercourse is the guideline. In couple using FAM or NFP and using the days of fertility, there is no reason to wait one year.... 4-6 cycles is the guideline I've heard/read. TCOYF recommends about 4 cycles. This isn't to cause you more stress but if you decide after 6 months of using FAM that you need to seek medical help, that is acceptable and you should not be told to wait one full year.

I am glad my info is current regarding stress. Reproductive medicine evolves. :)

Autumn

Autumn - So what is considered "good" intercourse timing during the fertile days? At least couple days prior to o plus the day of and day after? I know there were some mos where my timing was really off, but others where we might have at least caught couple good days during my fertile period and I'm still not pg. For example, I'm pretty sure this month is out and there were other mos I knew we were off in timing. Of course I've never had trouble conceiving prior, but does that matter?

Jen - I'm glad you went in to see your dr. I've ordered preseed from babyhopes.com before also. Speaking of, I'm out of opk strips and should order some.

Hi Morris, Melanie, Kristan, and Anne!

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving is a good one! Happy Gobble Gobble Day!

Lisa

hi everyone!

hi jen - so glad your appointment went okay. i second what autumn said as i heard the same thing. hope that does not add to your stress!

hi autumn - how are things?

hi lisa - still enjoying the new workouts? did you order any of amy bento's new ones?

hi melanie, hi kristan, hi anne.

things are great here b/c dh is home! i am really going to enjoy a bit of a break the next 2 days. i work friday and saturday, so not too bad for me. the nausea is the same, but i think i am used to it. my 2 big cravings are protein bars (ie candy bars) and soy crisps - just the right crisp and salt. oh well.

uh oh. ds is up after napping only 45 minutes. it could be a lonngggg afternoon.

Hi everyone. I had an u/s on Monday and saw a little heart flicker. My due date is 7-4.

I feel gross- sometimes I don't know whether I want to puke, go running or eat. I always get nauseated the worst during the evening.

Jen- I am with Autumn. Go see a specialist as soon as you feel you need to. 1 year is too long to wait for answers.

Morris- i forgot to mention that I too crave nuts in pregnancy, especially cashews, and also post-partum.

Anne- I think your signature "schedule" is great; it must be reassuring to others and I think it would be reassuring (if it were me) that there was a plan in place. Does that sound right?

I'm off to watch my favorite 2 hours of tv- Kitchen NIghtmares followed by a new Project RUnway. I am going to get food ready for a baby shower that we are hosting on Friday.

Have a great thanksgiving.

kristan, i had to respond b./c your post made me laugh! i too don't know whether to exercise, eat, or puke. my ausea is constant, except when i am exerciise or eating, sooo, i just keep doing those 2 things! so glad you had a good us - it is reassuring to see that heart beat. raw cashews are a fave for me too, those, and walnuts.

happy thanksgiving everyone! i hope everyone had a great day with family and friends. i know i am counting all my blessings, big and small today. i am also especially thanksful to know you ladies on this forum.

i wanted to go out for a nice long run this am but it is raining. i did amy's asc2 again - it is really getting fun.

Happy B-lated Thanksgiving!

Morris - I was thinking of getting Amy Bento's ASC2. Do you like it? Is it really complicated?

Just wanted to say hello...bbl!

Lisa

hi lisa - it is very very complicated, but definately doable and such FUN! i have asc the first one and do not care for it at all. this was good fun step cardio with upbeat music. not crazy impact but moderatly intense. i definately recommend it. i may get her hi lo. not usually a hi lo fan, but i need something for variety for a few weeks from now when i can no longer run.

anyone interested in a clean eating challenge? i am not especially interested, bt i need to try something! my diet is awful these days. i ate 3 pieces of pumpkin pie yesterday (filling only - i hate crust)! that is just gross. and i felt really horrible later, but it tasted SOOOO good.

hope everyone had a great holiday. i am working all day so will be chatting frequently today:)

Morris - I'm sooooo in on the eating challenge. I've been stuffing my face silly with junk the last few days as well. I really need to get a hold on my eating. I'm planning on going for a run this evening since we have family over to keep the kids occupied. I've been eating things like chips because it's there and I don't even care that much for it!! Awful! I think I'll order the ASC2. I'll have DH buy it for me as a stocking stuffer! :7

Hope everyone else had a nice holiday weekend!

Lisa
