Default New babies and soon to be mommies October 18th

Good morning ladies!

Sweetpea1/Jen - Nov. 9 (It's a boy!)
Dragonfly/Cee - Nov. 15 (It's a boy!)
luprisi/Priscilla - Dec. 5 (It's a boy!)
melanalyus/Melanie - Dec 15 (identical twin girls!)
23jimbeam/Christine - Dec. 15 (It's a boy!)
bunekneck/Raciela - Dec 23 (It's a girl!)
Krillie/Kristine - Feb 1
dmsmith/Denise -- Due Date? (It's a girl)

Holy macaroni! I'm next on the list! Maybe we should start adding our new babies on there too!

Susan- I am having my coffee and computer time too! Hope the "nips" are doing better. I hope James is an easy baby and sleeps pretty well. You are so lucky! I hope you are able to venture out today, should be fun for all of you! I made a meatball minestrone soup and have chicken and dumplings in the crock pot on hand for today. DH is probably so happy for the cool weather cause I haven't cooked the last two weeks. I feel so much more like myself when I get to cook/clean. Sounds strange huh???

Melanie- Hope all your "drugs" helped you get some rest. That's great about the 40lbs! I might tip the scale at 40lbs by the end; at 35 lbs now (37 weeks). Not good cause I've only got one....Oh well. Everyone still says I am all baby.

I will take some pics of the room today and upload them. I got all my thank you cards done yesterday. Just waiting on DH to help print return labels so we can mail on Monday. I just want to be done with all that in case James decides to show early. I don't mean to keep talking about the weather but I am LOVING it! It was 50 degrees this morning when I woke up! I'm gonna shower and hopefully run to Target just so I can wear a cute long sleeve maternity top!

Morning Jen! Thanks for starting the new thread! Your soup sounds awesome. My dad lives in Bradenton and was just telling me about the awesome cool temps this morning.
If you have time please post your chick dump recipe!! Yum! I am thinking of making split pea today..dh loves that. You are doing great with your weight gain! I totally understand about you loving to cook/clean. I am the same way. My cleaning house yesterday made me feel normal again.
Kara got up at 630 and ate again..now shes snoozing. Im gonna hit the shower while I have a second. Its so nice having Haley to keep an eye on Kara for me! I can actually shower! bbs

Good morning ladies,

So sorry, that I didn't check in last week. Don't really know what happened.

First of all, Susan: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Ms. Kara is absolutely beautiful and it looks like you both are doing very well. It's also nice to still see you check in with us, yeah!

Mel - So sorry about your hospital stay again and that horrible cold you got (or is it really swine flu?) I hope the cold will pass by really really soon, it sucks (sorry there is no other word for it) while you are pregnant because there is not much you can take to make you feel better especially if your nose is just stopped up. But you still seem in such good spirit even with all you are going through and I totally admire that, you are wonderful!!!

Jen - Yeah, you are next on the list, won't be long and your little baby will be here before you know it, how exciting!!!

Christine - Yeah only 17 pounds so far, that's excellent!

Good morning to everyone I missed!

So I have a little cold as well, but so far it's not too bad, I am using lots and lots of saline spray to keep from getting totally stuffed up. I only worked out once or twice last week but I figured it's better to rest right now until this cold is gone and honestly, I enjoy being lazy .

I had my baby shower yesterday and I had a great time, my girlfriend did a wonderful job organizing it and had some fun games. Only downside, out of 15 people that were invited only 4 showed up, so I was very disappointed in that and of course being hormonal doesn't make it any better, but I am ok now. So I got some cute clothes for our little boy, some blankets, sleepsacks, bathtowel, so that's nice. And the cake was delicious.
I have my glucose test on Monday, so I hope I didn't do too much damage with that cake .

I guess, that's all what happened last week and this weekend.

Heidi and I are planning on going to the playground for a little bit and when to Babies R Us. Need to look at some gliders. You girls got any suggestions on which ones you like the best?

Ok, gotta go
BBL

Hi ladies! We should put the mommies & their bdays on the list too! Good idea!

Krillie, nice to hear from you. It sounds like you've been busy

Jen, can't wait to see the nursery. I bet it's really cute

Susan, I bled about 2 weeks after my c/s, but bleed much longer after my vaginal deliver (about 6 weeks). I was really active though......and i noticed with my other babies that my flow slowed down substantially when I sat down more & took it easy.

Well I'm going to go updated by carepages.

Hey Krille! Glad to see you are still around and getting in some workouts. I think I am the only one that gave up completely! Hope your cold gets better!

Susan- Here is the link for the chicken dumpling recipe.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Co...gs/Detail.aspx

I posted the link so you can read the reviews and made modifications. My chicken breasts were huge so I only used three. I use the FF lower sodium soup mixes and this time used chicken and celery. I added a couple handfuls of frozen mixed veggies this time which I didn't do last time. And one can of biscuits in plenty. I am going to cook the biscuits longer this time. It's not very clean but it is better in fat than most recipes I've seen. Hope you enjoy!

Made it to Target and got a head support for James's stroller. Am going to rest up and hopefully make some choc chip cookies this afternoon.

I saw her! She is beautiful!

Quick question: I just had tons and tons of thick eggwhite discharge. Is this the mucus plug? My mom thinks I had my burst of energy yesterday.

Jen, you are nesting hard core! ") I'm like you -- cooking, cleaning, laundry...these things make me feel normal. I cleaned the house, Bisselled the stairs, etc before having Drew; didn't want to come to a dirty house LOL We've had freakishly cold weather this weekend -- highs in the 40s with really cold rain. Supposed to be 70 by Wed -- crazy! DH will like the chucken and dumplings. Thanks!

Susan, glad to hear you are all adjusting so well! I only bled for a couple weeks (after first two days, mostly light bleeding) but still have some discharge, light enough now that I only need a pantyliner these days.

Melanie, going crazy yet? While I think I would enjoy a week of not being allowed to do anything but rest, I would not be happy after one week; cabin fever would set in. I know you have great motivation though

Krille, sorry noy many folks were able to attend your shower, but glad you had a ggod time anyway.

Check out all you skinny minnies! I've lost 26 lbs so far, 15 to go (yep, gained 41!!). Did do Cathe workouts last week -- yippee!

What is Wendy's name on Facebook? I know she posted it a couple times. I'm going to try reeeeeaaalllly hard to be more consistent with FB! LOL

Drew hit one month yesterday. That went so quickly! He must have a hollow leg because he eats and eats and eats some more. He's starting to fill out a bit. He's arching his back and holding up his head. He's starting to focus also, so he's crosseyed quite a bit Knock on wood, things are still good between him and DD too. Whew!

My mucus plug had blood in it too, but I would imagine passing the plug could be different with each pregnancy You have 3 weeks left, right? Could be any time! Have you been feeling any contractions?
