Default Bellybuttons...

Goodmorning ladies, hope everyone is feeling well today.

I had a question and was wondering if this happens to anyone else....Sorry if it sounds weird but

Why is it that when I'm having a mild contraction my bellybutton gets sucked in? Does this happen to anybody else. When I'm having no contracton my bellybutton is even with the rest of my belly...

I think it's just because your belly (uterus) shrinks a little during a contraction, so that skin that's so stretched out gets to sink back in again.

I remember watching my belly while in labor with DS. When we were in "full swing", my uterus was contracting so much that my belly would shrink about 3 inches during each. It's pretty cool to see.

So that would be my guess!

Interesting. My belly button is always out during pregnancy. I haven't noticed any change during contractions.Maybe I wasn't paying attention.
