This question is way off topic. But these forums have alot of members, so I thought I would ask. Has anyone ever had to search for their birth parents. I have been trying on my own. Hard job. Are there any dependable web sites to visit or places to send requests to? I'm not looking for any Montel show type reunion. Just wanting to satisfy a little curiousty (sp?) now thay I'm getting a little older.

I am not adopted BUT I have been searching for my family history and there are some websites that cover adoption. Maybe you could find something there to help you?

Or maybe check the birth records/adoption records in Raleigh? I see you are from NC and I am too. I believe the birth-parents can leave "open" where an adopted child can actually check to see who their birth-parents are.
