Step Storage

I workout in the living room and am having a problem with were to store my step. Actually, the balance ball is a bit of a problem too.

So, where to you store your step and all the other 'stuff' that goes along with your workout?

I work out in my living room too. I store everything in another room and haul it out every time I work out. I have to lay down puzzle mats every time too. It takes a few minutes, but it's worth it.

I also work out in the living room. I have a vertical DB stand that I prop the step against (vertically) and behind that are all my risers stacked with my 2 yoga mats rolled and stashed in the middle of the risers. When they're all stacked up and put away, they don't take up much room at all!

I have a couple large window seats near my backdoor where I keep a lot of my weights and my step, high step, and risers. I used to keep my stability ball in the pack-n-play (like a portable crib for you non-parents) but when I finally took that down, I had to move the ball to the basement. Only problem is it's a bit of a squeeze through the door.

ETA: I also work out in my living room, so I haul all the crap from the back door (or from the basement) through the dining room to the living room when it's time to work out.

My step is stored under the bed. My stability ball is in my bedroom closet. I have a double closet bar system and I've had to keep the ball on top of the lower bar. I used to store it on the floor, but my cat decided to jump on top of it there. She balanced pretty well, but the ball didn't make it.

I bought a storage ottoman. It's large enough to hold my BB plates, ankle weights, weighted gloves, lifting gloves, workout calendar, plate mates, and most of my DBs. DH put heavy duty wheels on it so I can push it to where I need it. The step, BB, and a 2x4 all live behind the couch. Stability ball and the BOSU live in the basement, so I have bring them up when I need them. It's amazing how much stuff I have hidden all over, but it is a pain that I have to get it all out and put it away every day.

I also work out in my living room, and I keep my stuff pretty much in plain view for 6 out of 7 days a week. In a few months when DF and I get married and I move into his house, I will look for a more creative way to "hide" my stuff.

I have stuff scattered in two rooms. All of my DBs are in the family room under my bowflex. I workout in the living room. So there's where my step resides along with my 2 barbells, mat and stability ball. They are in plain view. We don't have company often. If we do I simply move them to another room out of view. I really would like 1 room dedicated to workout equipment. Maybe someday,....

I workout in the familyroom and most of my stuff sits out all the time. The step is behind a chair, my dumbells are in front of the woodburner in the corner, my mat and ball are on the sewing maching in the corner of another room. My barbell bar hides under the couch, and the weight plates are in another corner, with the magazine basket.

I really envy the lucky ones who have workout rooms. Maybe someday when my DD moves out, her room will become my room. Right now I'm just happy to have a room apart from the livingroom.

I workout in the living room. I store my BB plates underneath the couch, the step platform vertical with the riser beside it. My db's,ankle weights, dyna bands and other stuff is stored in a plastic tub(medium size)right bedside the risers, all in plain veiwx( !

My dream is to one day have a room that is all MINE for working out:7

Since I moved to Germany I also work out in the living room! In the US I have my own workout room!!I honestley don't have a space problem here in Germany my house is big, but hawling all my stuff back and forth is to much every day. It's not worth it to me! My living room has a 47 inch TV! My living room looks like a gym! LOL! My weights are all lined up next to the TV stand. My step is in front of my TV, my high step is right next to my step! I do store all my workout stuff inside my step risers! Like gloves, dynaband tubes....My stability ball is resting on one of the risers! But as I said, my living room is about 30 feet by 18 feet, space is not an issue.
