I have never tried any before can anyone recommend one that doesn't taste like powder or is gritty? I want one that taste good to.

I'd also recommend the Lean Dessert protein flavors. All of the flavors I tried taste delicious, and they mix up really well in the blender. I buy mine at vitacost.com.
