I agree it's important to be aware of our surroundings at all times, but this is an email hoax.

In this day and age, I tell my daughters if anyone says they need help, you tell them you will call 911. that's it, walk away. I don't care if it's achild or an elderly person, or whoever. You just never know.

I just hate the idea of someone seeing this and using it as an excuse not to help.
It's winter and it's especially easy for older adults to fall now. I just hate thinking of someone on the ground and nobody helping them, because they think it's a hoax or they think someone else will help.
