Kids make Christmas

You know I was such a scrooge with Christmas this year.
Al it does is cost me a fortune, but my grandson is making it all worth it.
He is such a cutie. He is tearing up my tree and loves the lights.
He calls them pretty lights.
No one is home anymore, and it is just not the same. No Christams eve together. It just bums me out.
If it wasn't for Steven,I would probably like to sleep through it.
So thank goodness for little boys and girls.
I can't wait for him to rip the stuff apart.
Well, Happy Holidays!!!

Anne,

All I can say is you sure don't look like a grandma!!! You look great!

As for kids and Christmas, I was never able to have kids and although I've always accepted it quite well, the holidays were always the toughest time. But I still enjoy Christmas very much and time with family and friends during this time. And I try to remember the reason for the season. Giving to those in need helps and shopping for kids who might not otherwise have anything for Christmas is wonderful! There are so many opportunities out there to spread happiness to others during this time. Maybe that would cheer you up and help fill that gap that has been left since your family is gone. And of course there's Steven...

I second that, you look great.
I remember when I was little how much I looked forward to Christmas. Now its like oh-no. The gifts the in-laws the cooking, cleaning. It really is stressful, But your right kids do make Christmas I cant wait to see my girls get their gifts from Santa. My youngest daughter just turned 3 and this is the first Christmas where she actually understands everything. She asks me everyday if she can open her gifts.
I hope you all have a Happy Holiday!

They are definitely the reason why I have sacraficed my workouts for the past couple weeks. Christmas would be a bore without their excitement. It's fun listening to my 8 y.o. try to figure out how Santa works! They enjoy decorating the tree, cookies and so much more. I better get a workout in tonight sometime!!
