Here are some apps my 4.5 year old boy and 7 year old girl enjoy:

- Tic-Tac-Touch
- Highlights My First Hidden Pictures
- My Underwear (based off of the Todd Parr books... hilarious)
- Stack the States (my 7 y.o. plays with this more; a bit much for my boy)
- Memory Cards Lite (similar to the "Memory" card game)
- Easy Bake Cupcakes (make your own cupcakes ... my kids love!)
- Milkshakes! (ditto except you make your own milkshakes)
- Abby Monsters Maker

I don't remember the exact cost of these, but I would bet most are $0.99 or $1.99. I don't like to spend a lot on apps for my kids because I figure their tastes will change.

I hope those ideas help or at least get you going!

You're never too young for Angry Birds!

I would think Stack the States is a bit much for five, but my seven-yr-old can do it with help. Try the free version.

Icee maker might be good, or any of those food-making apps.

Fruit ninja free version

Sky burger

Farm story

Talking Tom (you might regret that one)

Flow paper for the creative types.

Thanks Geomom! Yes, the kids made sure Angry Birds was the first app on my phone Thanks for the other suggestions...I haven't gotten my little guy his own app so I appreciate everyone's suggestions. Talking Tom is cute too, but you're right. I'll let the kids stick to playing that one on my parent's iPad
