Hi Everyone!
Can anybody recommend books and information abou clean eating??? During most of the holidays I have been wondering whether certain foods qualify as "clean". For instance can I haave cofee and splenda???
I have read the Tosca Reno book but wonder if anybody has more specific sources like articleas, blogs, sites, etc. Any suggestions will be welcomed!
Also I wanted to ask the more experienced. What happens when you train hard (cardio plus heavy weights) but eat too many calories or too many refined carbs. Is it actually worst to be training? Does the body absorb more because of the excercise? I guess that what I'm trying to ask is what should my wrkout look like when I'm not being very consistent on the diaet depertment. should I focus on cardio only?????
Thanks to all,
LULI

I, personally would never just focus on cardio only. You don't want to lose the muscle you have worked hard to build. Too much cardio will cannibalize your muscle. I wouldn't worry about what you've already done and just clean it up and move on. I just ordered Cassandra Forsythe's new book on eating. I don't know if it'll be any good or not, but I've heard good things about her. Plus she looks good, so she must know something!!!

Diet is 85% of it. If you were to put more of your energy into any of the 3, I'd spend more time and effort cleaning up the diet and focus on making it consistant.

Let me also add, I am not an advocate of picking 1 out of the basket and ditching the cardio an weights. All 3 is the best trio for optimal health, fitness and body composition. Some people need more cardio than others, some need hardly any at all...but cardiovascular health should not be ignored. Also, women need strength training, especially for our bone strength.

If your concern is **time**...it takes too much time to incorporate all 3, then ease into it. But please, for your own sake, don't pick one or two and ignore the rest. They work together to make a gorgeous puzzle, and they feed off each other.
