I love that book! I'm a vegan, but I follow the eating recommendations and percentages. I keep it in my kitchen to refer to often. I even took it to Kinkos and had it bound into an actual book. Very good resource for anyone- no gimmicks, just sound advice.

No, it really didn't work for my body type. If you have PCOS, I don't recommend it. For me, the frequent meals didn't help because I was constantly putting out a stream of insulin, which is not my friend. Anywho, that said, I do carb cycle and calorie/carb taper throughout the day. I also do cardio for more than 45 minutes. I don't really see any muscle loss that others might have due to my artificially elevated testosterone (excess estrogen is converted via enzymatic action into testosterone and excess insulin behaves like estrogen too, a double whammy.) It all depends on your body type. If BFFM works for you, then do it!

Really? I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. I have severe PCOS, and it works well for me. But I also don't eat by the clock (I eat when I'm hungry), nor do I eat meat or dairy. I focus more on getting the right protein and carb balance. I have been off medication for PCOS for 16 years!
