Default Afterburn & LIC advice

Okay I think that Afterburn is officially my favorite LIS workout. Granted, it's like trying to choose your favorite child or puppy, but this one is sooooo awesome! I'm gonna be feelin' it tomorrow for sure!!

The LI Cardio Challenge is still super confusing to me. I'm gonna have to watch it a few times in order to get it I think otherwise I feel like I'm going to fall off of and/or trip over my step. Any pointers would be helpful.

Thanks!
Pam

Afterburn is one tough cookie. What kills me is the plank work. WHY? WHY CATHE must you torture me with those??? Spider Mountain Climbers??!! WTH? Ha, ha, it's all good. What I found to be helpful with plank work, is doing them on a yoga mat doubled. Very comfy. Also, I wear workout gloves cuz' my hands sweat and it helps me with the walking planks & holding heavier weights (or else I would seriously get injured).

LI Step Challenge is MY FAV !!! Crazy eh? Very tricky at times, but once you "get it" so fun and different. IDK any way to make the choreo easier. I would say practice makes perfect. I am not a fan of picking sections and "practicing" them. I just do the whole video and learn as I go. I just don't have that much time to waste, but hey to each his own. Maybe do it on a 4 inch step, then go to 6 and then 8. I have fallen off my step with this one , so I know what you are saying. Trust me, it's totally doable in a reasonable amount of time. I am not good at step and was able to grasp it in a few tries.

Good luck and take care

Natasha

Pam,
I haven't had a chance to really learn LIC yet either! And I REALLY want to because it comes up once a week in the new 3 Month Transformaton Rotation! I've been substituting Step Blast for it the past 2 weeks. But this weekend I plan on spending some time to learn it once and for all. Usually, I break Cathe's step routines into parts and just keep going over and over them until I get it, then move on to the next pattern. I remember how I just couldn't get the reverse leg hop in Step Blast and then all of a sudden I had it down! I really want to include LIC in my rotation because it looks brutally fun!!!! Good luck!
