Pure strength BBA and T-Bar Rows

How much weight do you put on each end of your barbell to do these? They seem too easy, but if I put too much weight on my barbell it slides out from under me. For a frame of reference, I do pure strength with a 30lb barbell--I'm betty spaghetti in the arms.

Hi Kath,
I use 4- 10lb. weights on the end of my bar. I leave weight on the other end and use my mat under the other end so when I lift it up the mat holds the bar in place. I find if I don't leave weight on the end it does slide around. I hope this helps.

Yes, put a little weight, like 5 pounds or so on the floor end or it will slip. I put 50 pounds on the heavy end.

Hi Kath, just to add my experience here... I also put four 10-lb plates at the top end and leave one 10-lb at the base for support. A sticky yoga mat is a good idea too, especially if you're working out on a hardwood floor

PS - a 30-lb barbell is pretty impressive!
