Do you mainly just do cardio now? If so, I would recommend adding weight training even if it is circuit training like Low Impact Circuit and Drill Max. Although if you can go heavier, I recommend that as well since increasing muscle mass helps us burn fat at rest.

I try to do 3 days of weights only or circuit training and 3 days of cardio only on average. Some weeks might be 4 cardio days and 2 weight days.

I believe the whole point of a HiiT workout is to be stand alone (at least from a cardio perspective). If you pair anything with it, you could do an ab workout or an upper body weight workout.

If you are having joint problems, I would think you would want to alternate high impact and low impact days. For example,

Day 1 HiiT
Day 2 Low Impact Circuit
Day 3 Jillian Michaels (I would consider her high impact unless it is No More Trouble Zones)
Day 4 Rebounder
Day 5 Drill Max

You could also insert a rest day anywhere in there to help with joint issues. If you are not comfortable with a complete rest day, go for a slow, gentle walk and do some light stretching or yoga.

Hope that helps!
