Can't complete three sets!

When you're doing one of Cathe's heavy weight lifting DVD's and can't complete three sets, what is the best way to revise the workout? Decrease weight, decrease reps or just drop off a set?

I would get through as much of the sets as I can at my heaviest weight, and when it's too much, drop down to the next lowest weight to finish out the segment.
 
Hi Gerry - I revisited pyramids after about 6 months and I'm sad to say I had a hard time matching Cathe's weight on the chest fly / press so I just decreased my weight for that section. I still do feel it in my chest pretty good today so I'll just keep at that weight until I can do it comfortably.
