I've been doing step forever and have always been told not to use more than an 8" step (2 risers each side). I would like to increase my fitness level. Can I safely move up to a 10" step (3 risers each side) for step aerobics? I am 5'4 and have no health/joint issues.

I'm like you and always use 8 inches even when Cathe and crew are using 6. I tried 10 inches with LIC, since it's pretty slow moving and it is just too high. It didn't necessarily make it harder, just more dangerous. All I can say is try it and see what you think.
