wrist pain during tricep dips

Hi Everyone,

I seem to have a problem doing both tricep dips and push up because of my wrists. Will this get better as I'll get in better shape ?
The tapes I have of Cathe include these exercises - should I continue and try (and suffer in the meantime) or should I just switch to another exercise ?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Anat!

I just responded to a post regarding wrist pain today(August 28th). Please read my response and do the wrist stretch and strengthening exercises. Also, for both triceps dips and push ups, you can use handle bars (available in most sporting good stores for around 15 to 20 dollars, maybe even less)to take the stress off of the wrist. But, do not put these handles up on the step when doing dips. Just stay right on the floor. The height of the handle bars will be enough to keep the exercise effective. Go down to just before the buttocks touch bottom. Good Luck!
