I noticed in Cathe's last chat that she might be having a little insomnia. One thing that can really help is if you have a digital clock close to your the head of your bed move it across the room. The electro magnetic field around the clock can interfere with your sleep. I hope that helps.
 
Having a dark room helps too. An alarm clock with a red display is easier to read and less disruptive at night then a blue display.
 
I have never suffered with insomnia but sounds like a great idea. I have found that I sleep better when the bedroom is a tad chilly. I've been loving the cooler nights with the window fan in. My poor DH though....freezin'
