Sprinting Nephew

Dear Cathe,
My 18 year old nephew is a senior in high school and currently living with us. He has broken the school record for the 100 and 200 meter dash in his sophmore and junior year and also the 4x400 relay two years running. His goal this year, of course, is to break his own records.

That being said he has started working out with me to strengthen his core and upper body. In anticipation of STS I am pretty much sticking to a 3 day split with plyo and cardio mixed in. What would you suggest for leg day for my nephew and upper body for that matter? I want this winter to benefit his performance in the spring and I need to know how to best use our time together. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also when STS arrives, can I have him join me or would some other rotation help him?
