Hi Cathe - you posted the other day about a silver sneakers class. I'd love a peak at one of your SS classes. Will/Would you post a video clip on Cathe TV or Youtube? Any thoughts about doing a SS DVD or is you new LIS series filling that bill? Thank you.

Hi Carmen! Yes, I have given thought to putting this senior workout on DVD but I just haven't found the time to do so yet. I always have so many other workouts I want to film that this one seems to get pushed back. Perhaps one day I can get a portion of it covered on Cathe TV and do some coverage of it with the members live. They would be so honored. Great idea Carmen

Hi Cecififi!

Thanks for your interest! This is a licensed workout that is offered through Horizon for their senior market. It is called Silver Sneakers. I choreograph it under their guidelines and get evaluated once a year(since my initial Silver Sneakers training certification 6 years ago). It really opened my eyes to working with the over 70 crowd. In fact one man is now 91 and he takes class every week. The average age is 84. I teach a muscular endurance workout with very mild cardio components added in. I have made my own classes for the seniors since being certified and that is the class I would put on DVD since, as I mentioned, Silver Sneakers is a licensed program.
