Reverse flies vs. the other things

Okay, so I can't remember the name of the exercise where you stand with your back flat (like a table top), arms straight, and then raise them toward the rear to work the rear delts. I was just wondering if these exercises (as seen in the Legs & Shoulders Slow & Heavy workout) are more effective at working the rear delts than traditional reverse flies. What is the difference between these two exercises? It seems that the straight-arm rear delt raises are felt more in my triceps than rear delts. These exercises are killer.

Thanks to anyone who has an answer!

Hi Holly! Both rear delt exercises are effective, just slightly different in their actions. It is always best to hit the muscles from slightly different angles to stimulate continuous progress. The nature of the movement in the slow heavy rear delt press will invlove a little tricep just as the nature of the other rear delt presses will involve upper back. Variety is best! Take Care!

RE: Thanks Cathe! (No further message)

Hi, Holly, I seem to get into my rear delts better with that exercise than flies.
