PowerHour warm-up

It's Monday, so if this question is too stupid, I'm blaming it on being a "Monday thing"...
On PowerHour, during the warm-up, I understand that you should keep the weights light because it's just the warm-up, but do you at any time ever increase the amount of weights for the warm-up?
I know periodically you have to increase the weight during the actual weight training, so that you're always challenging your muscles, but does that include the warm-up too? Or is the warm-up meant to be light and stay light with no increase or challenge to the muscles?
Thanks, Donna

Hi Donna! Great question! Always keep the warm up light weight. Enough to bring blood flow to the muscles, work through good form, and never present a challenge to the muscles.
