Power sqat tips?

Hi Cathe! I'm really enjoying the new videos but, I'm wondering if you have any tips for making the power squats go a little easier. When I do them, I feel like they should be called "elephant stomps." Do they just get better with practice? Thanks! :)
 
I think I answered my own question doing power sqats today. I was too "stiff" the first few times I tried them. Today, I let my legs "give" more and the force of the move was in my thighs instead of stomping on the board. I still need some practice though! :D
 
Hi Sonja! That's exactly right. It's all in the thighs. Contract your thighs during the push up and landing phase. Keep your body centered over your thighs as you propel your body upward vertically. Good Luck!
