Muscle soreness?

Any suggestions on dealing with "the day after" soreness? Sometimes I feel beat up or even get a slight headache if my shoulders are too sore. I love that I feel I had a great workout the day before but would be good to know any tips on easing the pain. Thanks!!
 
Not Cathe.. but thought I'd chime in...
DOMS are funny things... I find that I LOVE them.. but sometimes they really do get to be too much. I find too that if my shoulders hurt, I am soo uncomfortable. I also don't sleep very well if I have DOMS..

There isn't a remedy that I know of, but streching the day after, or even just after your workout helps tonnes. It really does (and believe me, I'm not a fan of stretching!)

Also, i find that doing cardio helps to release the pain, I know this sounds odd, but it sort of cancels out the Doms for me :)

yes! shoulder soreness can be brutal. Stretching - I'm definitely trying to work that more into my routine. Always in such a rush that I tend to skip it but it is important to work in. Thanks for responding.
