Leaner Legs/Upper Body

Hey guys and Cathe;

I just wanted to see what your opinions are on this routine.

Monday; Run 45 min + CTX upper body
Tuesday Run 30 min. + leaner legs
Wedneday: Cardio Only
Thursday Run 45 + CT Upper Body
Friday: Run 30 + Leaner legs

Saturday and Sunday are fun outdoor sport days. What do you guys think. I am only looking to lose 5 - 10 lbs. and be really toned and lean. THANKS

I think your rotation looks good! Hope you get some ideas/ suggestions from some of the more experienced runners here!

Hi twink20164! If this is an increase in activity from what you are currently doing than it will definitely stimulate results. Some things to consider changing every couple of weeks to keep the results coming are:

1) Cross train your cardio with other activities (step, kickbox, biking, hi/lo etc.).

2) Make one cardio per week an interval workout.

3) Change the course of your running path.

4) Change your workout so that its Power Hour on Mon/Wed/Fri and cardio Tues/Thurs/Fri (with a 30 minute run right after Power Hour on Friday)

These changes along with a clean diet(okay, an occasional cheat here and there ;-)) should keep your workouts fresh and progressive. Good Luck!
