cardio length

Hi,
I read an article in the new Womens Sports & Fitness magazine (w/ Gabby Reece on the cover) that you should do 2 40 min cardio sessions and 1 60 min cardio session, plus 2 strength sessions. Is this accurate? Or can it be broken up?

I also read that in order to really lose weight, you need to do 60 min cardio sessions which seems like a lot. Any comments?
 
Hi Lisa!

I don't agree that this is what EVERYONE should or needs to do. As I always say...Everyone Is Different. Personally speaking, my workouts do not follow these requirements and I feel that I'm getting positive results. So, I say listen to your own body. Thanks for sharing this with us Lisa!
