Default Abs and HIIT questions

Hi Cathe or anyone at the forum! I have 2 quick questions. My first is that I do abs exercises 3 to 4 times a week. I never know whether the 5mn abs from High Rep is just as good as the abs from Core Max - which is 20mn.. Does it make any difference to do a 5mn high intensive abs workout as opposed to a 20mn Abs workout (i.e Core max and STS Abs) with some small break?
Also, as I like having 1 hours cardio exercises, I often do 2 HIIT workouts one after the other. I usually start with 40/20 - I do the warm up and exercise however I don't do the stretching and go stretch to pyramid HIIT however I never know whether I should do the Warm Up portion of Pyramid or 30/30 so that my heart rate can drop down a little bit or should I go straight to the exercise and not let my heart rate drop down with the warm up of the pyramid or 30/30?
Thank you!!

If you intend doing 2 HiiT workouts back to back, or any 2 cardio workouts back to back, then don't cool down or re-warm up again in between. Just towel off, grab water and keep going as comfort allows.

It's good to have variety. If you do some abs/core workouts of 5 mins, and others of 20 mins, or whatever, you introduce variety and changes in intensity so you will keep getting results. If not, the body quickly adapts and results slow. Also, I imagine that with a longer abs/core workout you can actually perform a wider range of exercises which means that you can hit the same muscles from different angles for better results.

How's my home town?!?! In the middle of Michigan winters, I always miss home a little.....
