Default Download quality

Are you trying to determine if our downloads will play on your device or what the quality of the downloads are?

Default download resolution

Mainly I want to know the resolution size for "quality" sake. There are certain things I like to know about digital products before I spend money on them and resolution size is one of them do you know the resolution size of the Cathe downloads? Or where I could find this information?

Default resolution info

Most of our downloads are encoded at the resolution of 576 x 432 with a maximum bit rate of 1928 Kbps, which at the time was the highest recommended resolution for certain older iPod models that we had to support. Some of our newer encodes are at 640 x 480, 1928 Kbps, which we are gradually switching to as the older iPod software and firmware is updated to handle higher resolutions. Hope this information is helpful.

Got this info from the help desk and Curt K.

Thanks

Default Video Quality

Resolution by itself doesn't really tell you what the quality of a clip is. Bit rate is actually more important than video resolution when it comes the quality of what you see in most cases. Most of our video clips are encoded at a resolution of 576 x 432 while others are encoded at a 640 x 480. We use a very high bit rate when we encode our videos and this results is a video that is very close to DVD in quality.
