Default Playing downloads on TV question

My downloads wont play full screen on the computer or TV (either connected to the computer or directly from a USB drive)..The picture is only in the middle of the screen and on either side there are dark bars. Changing the picture size doesnt do anything..Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,

If you are watching our older videos, it is normal to see black bars on the sides of the videos, as they are recorded using the older 4:3 aspect ratio that was standard for television before the advent of widescreen. Our newer videos are recorded in widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) and will fill the screen without the black bars on the side. These would in include the last two series completed in 2010 and 2011. If however, you are seeing the black bars on the sides of our widescreen videos, you will have to find the picture aspect ratio setting on your television to set it to "widescreen", "16:9", "natural", or a similar setting that enables it to fill your screen. Since almost every TV differs as to the exact term used and where the setting is located, it is difficult to provide exact instructions to you. Hope this helps a little!
