Default List of devices Cathes downloads work on.

I have read in your newsletter that Cathes downloads now work on the Kindle Fire. What other devices do they work on? Can you make a "list" and add to it as needed. It would be great if you could "sticky" it on this forum. It is very exciting to see that the downloads will work on the less expensive devices. Peggy

Hi,

Our videos will play on most devices that say that they support h.264 video, which is just about any on the market today. It is quickly becoming an industry standard, and most "smart" phones, media players, and tablets support it. However, two caveats: 1) Only Apple products will support the chaptering feature built into our videos, such as the iPod, iPad, iPhone, Macs, and Windows computers using Quicktime for playback. Others, such as the Kindle Fire, Android phones, etc., cannot read the chaptering information. 2) How well our videos play depends upon the horsepower of the device playing them. An underpowered tablet might play them, but they might not play smoothly or the audio/video may get out of sync. We try to test as many devices as we can, but finances preclude testing every one. So far, we have had excellent results with all of Apple's devices, the Android Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7, and Kindle Fire. If anyone else would like to chime in and add to the list, please feel free!

Thank You so much for explaining all this in such detail. I appreciate the list you have going. I will definitely use this information when shopping. Peggy
