not to sound completely clueless/not in the current century, but....
how exactly do the downloads work? do you download them to, say, your ipod, and then somehow get this download from ipod to tv? the tv in my workout area is 10+ years old, and definitely doesn't have a USB port, etc. can any tech-y people explain this to me? thanks!! |

You download the files to your computer.
You can play these on your computer or other device. Option 1: Ipod out to TV You use the iTunes application to sync with your ipod. You use a cable to connect the iPod to your TV. Newer iPods only work with an Apple cable which costs 55$. Option 2: Burn to DVD Use DVD creation software to burn the workout onto a DVD and play in a DVD player. Option 3: Multimedia Drive or Apple TV Something like this perhaps: http://www.lacie.com/ca/products/range.htm?id=10049 Last edited by JennyBear; 08-03-2010 at 05:27 PM.. |

We don't recommend burning to a DVD format (mpeg2). Our downloads are recorded in m4v file format and converting to mpeg 2 will result in the quality of the video being degraded. We don't support, allow or recommend using our downloads for burning DVDs.

You are allowed to make an exact backup copy, but not create an mpeg 2 DVD - There is a difference. Besides you never want to take an m4v file and convert it into an mpeg 2 file. The quality will suffer and your chapter points will be lost. Our downloads are not designed to be converted into DVDs and most people will fine this to be a frustrating experience and will be disappointed.

but what if your tv is old? the tv in my workout area is at least 10 yrs old....does that mean the download option is out for me? can you hook up a multimedia player to an older tv? thanks again... |

If you can hook up a VCR to your TV you should be able to connect an iPod to it. Just about every TV made in the last decade is capable of having an iPod connected to it.

I have the right inputs but not enough ...when I switch from DVD to ipod I have to fiddle in the back and switch cables. I have had enough of this. |

About a year ago, I purchased "splitter" RCA cables. It was such a hassle to switch cables all the time. Search "RCA splitter cables", and you'll get a lot of results. Be sure you get the kind that combines two inputs - not one that splits the outputs.
