Default Can i create DVDs

Have a quick question. If I download my workouts, can I burn my own DVD? Hooking up a laptop to the TV seems a bit cumbersome to me. I also can't imagine how I would easily pause, rewind, or fast forward if I was using a download.

Thanks in advance.

No, our downloads are not designed to be burned to a DVD. Instead they're intended to be used on you iPod/iPhone and then played on your TV. Or better yet just use Apple TV. If you use your iPod/iPhone you can use use your mobile device almost in the same way as you use your DVD player and you can instantly go to any chapter point just like you do on your DVD player.

Thanks for the reply. Only problem with playing on laptop or iPad is no remote. Oh well, maybe I'll use them for workouts like steady state where I don't ever need to pause the workout.

If you have a Mac and iDVD, you can burn them to DVD. I use the downloads on my computer sometimes, but due to a small workout space, I use my burned DVD's in my DVD player hooked up to my TV. I know it's not high tech, but it works for me.

Toni, I too use iDVD to burn the workouts to DVD. It works just fine. If you're using Windows - search around for a Windows alternative to iDVD - there must be quite a few out there.

I was using my downloads on my iPad as well but really missed the big screen on the TV (and like you said - the remote!). My plan is to hook up Apple TV at some point but until then I just burn the DVD's. Except for STS - those I bought as DVD's.

There are so many benefits to the downloads:

1. Less expensive = so I can buy more!
2. Instant gratification!
3. Able to make own pre-mixes in the Workout Blender.
4. I like having the digital original.

Let me know how it goes!

Just some information for everyone here...if you store the videos on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod and play them using AirPlay through your AppleTV, you don't have to use the device to control the videos. When playing through AirPlay, you can still use the AppleTV remote control to pause, play, and control the playing video. For that matter, the iPad, etc., doesn't even have to be in the same room.

Note this also works for playing videos through AirPlay from iTunes on your Mac or PC to the AppleTV, so your computer can still sit in your office and you can control the playback using the AppleTV remote. Pretty slick for a $99 device!
