We're excited to kick off the "Cathe Eggland's Best National Tour" in Daytona Beach, Florida!



We're excited to kick off the "Cathe Eggland's Best National Tour" in Daytona Beach, Florida! The Daytona event will run from Friday evening, October 23rd through Sunday morning, October 25th. This event is being held at the newly-renovated Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center located right on the beach in North Daytona, Florida. The resort also features a 32,500 square foot pool deck with four heated swimming pools.

This will be the first event in the Cathe Eggland's Best National Tour and attendance is limited to 160 Cathletes. The Daytona event will be as exciting as the Cathe Road Trip we hold at our facility each year, with some great additions: a beautiful ocean beach, four swimming pools and eliminating the back and forth bus rides! As with all of our tour events, the emphases will be on having fun, meeting, and getting to know and work out with Cathe and your fellow Cathletes. Unlike most fitness conventions, we will be feeding you well---and you know with Eggland's Best as our sponsor, you will be eating some yummy and healthy eggs, too. Your registration fee ($299.99) includes all workouts, events and all meals (dinner Friday night; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; and the EB farewell breakfast on Sunday.) The only other things that you're responsible for are your transportation and hotel fees.
Hotel reservations for the Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center can be made by calling the Resort directly after August 20 at 800-654-6216. To receive the special Cathe rate of $90.90 to $109 (depending on room type), identify yourself as an attendee of the CatheNation 2009 event when you call the hotel. All room reservations must be received by September 15, 2009 and guaranteed with a one night deposit; our special rates are in effect from Wednesday, October 21 thru Monday, October 26. If you're looking to save some money you can share the cost of a room with other Cathletes---just be sure to say you're sharing a room when you make your reservation. Some rooms have two Queen beds while others have a single King bed.
Room rates do not include the $12.00 Daily Resort Fee and taxes. Bed type, room numbers, view, floor level or tower are not guaranteed. The resort ensures the highest level of guest services and will do their best to accommodate all requests based on availability. The Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center Daily Resort Fee of $12.00 + Tax Includes: Unlimited Access to Fitness Center and Sauna, Daytona Beach News Journal, Wireless Internet Access, Self Parking Covered Garage, Indoor Pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna, and Two (2) Bottled Waters Replenished Daily. The Daily Resort Fee also entitles Catheletes to a 20% discount at the Daytona Beach Resorts Terra Acqua Day Spa!

Can you post a little more about the types of events and activities that will be available?

Cathe will be teaching 5 to 6 classes during the weekend. All the meals will be first class and some will be served on the outside pool deck overlooking the ocean.

The Daytona event will follow a similar format to the last Cathe Road Trip. We are still going through the surveys from the last road trip and are replacing things that received negative feedback like the Trivia game with other events and are going to add some extra surprises. We also want to take advantage of the events location too - Nothing like a quick dip in the pool to cool off after a tough Cathe class. We will post a final agenda in a few more weeks.

I just signed up for the event and I am SOOOO excited I am in grad school in exercise physiology and want to have my own tv show and dvd's like cathe does. I am really excited to meet her!

Yes, there are still spots available. I think Daytona will probably be the most fun of all the Cathe Eggland's Best Tour events because of its location. The size of this event will be smaller than most of the other tour events and will probably be the closest thing to the Cathe Road Trip at our facility. Having four swimming pools and the beach at our doorstep offers a lot of opportunities for some fun - so bring your surfboard and we hope to see you in Daytona.
