Default Low Impact Challenge with a Migraine - UGH

8 month old Baby Lucy has been preventing me from my early morning rise to tackle any of these workouts as often as I'd like to. This morning was actually an exception! I hopped out of bed ready to go. Until I realized the onset of a migraine was upon me. Nonetheless, I was determined to get a workout in this morning. A BIG mistake trying the Low Impact Challenge for the first time! I had to think about footwork WAY too much and my head HURT! Darn it!
Feeling better now, maybe I'll try it again tonight. I think I'll do better at it without the throbbing.

Good effort, Sharon! I just finished Low Impact Challenge for the first time and it's hard enough without a headache!

Incidentally, I find that any intensity in my workouts exacerbates a migraine, or can altogether bring one on if it's the right time of the month.

Hey Sharon - I feel your pain. Looks like we had almost identical mornings (I don't have a baby). I woke up and was all excited to try LI Challenge for the first time, but developed a really bad headache, and just couldn't think that hard to get all the steps down. So I gave up part-way through drill #3, but I'm hoping to try again tomorrow morning. I know that I'll like this workout when I'm feeling better.

Hope you're feeling better soon too.

I don't know how you gals can even TRY to work out with a migraine! I get them, too, & I can't even read, let alone try to work out. Kudos to all of you!

I agree, doing a workout with a migraine does make it worse for me - I have done STS weights with a migraine (because I wanted to stay on track) and man does that suck!

I get exercise induced migraines - and quite frequently. In fact I have ended up not doing the plyo legs in STS meso III because it leads to a migraine once I am done. I have to be really careful about HIIT workouts...One thing I have tried to counter getting a migraine is to wear a HRM when doing HIIT and I just pause in between sets longer so my heart rate gets down to a given rate, and then I begin again. If I keep up at the same rate as the dvd I almost inevitably will get a migraine. It sucks!

I hate the fact that exercise Gives me a headache, one of the reasons I love to exercise is that it is fun and reduces my stress....unless it gives me a migraine. Then I get very stressed because it is really hard for me to get my work done. Sigh.

Hopefully next time you do LIC you will be migraine free!

Wow you are brave to take on your workouts with a migraine. It's totally fine to make it rest day though. I can't imagine the names you call me when you are doing the workouts under the influence of a migraine
