Default LIS shoes?

Cathe, What shoes are you all wearing in the LIS?
Some of them look like they might work for racewalking (lower heel, flexible forefoot?). I'm liking the looks of the white ones in Afterburn and the black ones in another workout (I previewed several last night and can't remember which one it was "Cardio Supersets"? ). Any of them non-leather?

TIA!

I found the Ryka transitions shoes at Lady Foot Locker yesterday on sale for $50! Just thought I'd pass the info along in case any of you are looking for those as well.

I bought some this week, I got the white ones. I was doing Slide and Glide with running shoes, but I was having difficulty with the disks. I couldn't get the flexion I needed to slide and I got foot cramps from the effort. I also felt "heavy" on the disks, if that makes any sense.

I have such an easier time of it now. No foot cramps, no constantly readjusting my feet on the disks--they make a world of difference. I love these shoes.

Thanks for that tidbit of info, Jen. I was having the same difficulty with the disks and didn't realize it was the shoes. I will be investing in the Rykas, too.

Hi, Those who have bought these shoes, do they run pretty true to size? Thanks.

Compared to Adidas & Nike, these seem pretty true to size. These brands are my only reference point as far as trainers go.

They are kind of strange in the sense that you can kind of see your foot through the shoe, I guess you could call them translucent. The sides are a tight mesh, but I think this is part of what makes it lighter than a running shoe. I also like them because they don't have the heavy treads on the bottom like my running shoe, I can pivot in these-even on my carpet.

I swear, I'm not a Ryka employee, I just really enjoy doing this series in these shoes.
