Default December rotation (LIS+High Impact)

Hello everyone!

I was wondering who is doing this?
Cathe Friedrich - Cathe’s December 2011 Rotation

I never stopped doing high impact entirely, and was always fitting in 1-2 high impact workouts/week (CCC, Hiit, Intensity, Imax2, Hardcore Extreme). My knee's feel much better now that I am mostly doing LIS, but nothing gets my heart rate up better than high impact. I have a special place in my heart for them...I can't let them go

Who else is fitting in high impact w/LIS? What workouts can't you let go of?

I'm not going to let my trusty Imaxes, Athletic Step, the Cardio Hits, or 4DS HIS go. I'm using the LIS series more as a substitute for inclement weather days and to augment my rotation. It depends on how cold it is. If its really cold and I only do a couple of miles I will add Slide n Glide. If I don't get enough of a calorie burn with a step workout, I will use the LIS step add on. I like that one a lot. I tried the barre workout and it is over my head at this point.

RapidBreath, is Athletic Step good? Does it burn lots of calories? I am slowly trying to build up to Cathe's collection but I have to be selective. Is the choreo hard? I want something that is challenging but won't take me too long to learn (I have LIC for that!!)

Hey mini-natty. I'm the same way. I'm not following the Cathe December rotation, but I am doing something similar. I can't give up my high impact DVDs. In my rotation with the new low impact series, I'm including Hiit, CCC, and Circuit Blast. I refuse to part with them, plus, the combination of adding some high impact with the lis will produce phenomenal body results.

I can't live without my high-impact workout! I usually do 1 HIIT workout per week, even if the last month has been particularly busy on family/work fronts and had to skip my regular routine I don't know if it's because I like that intensity or because I've got addicted to that endorphins release...But if I feel well nothing is going to keep me away from them!

If you are able to do high impact, then a combo of low and high is the best way to go, most especially for intensity, variety & bone density.
