Form tips on extended stretch moves?

I was wondering if you could go over form on some of the stretches you have us do. I know that on some of them I'm not obtaining the right angle, or putting pressure the right way to get the stretch to the fullest but can't quite seem to get it. For instance, with pigeon pose, are we supposed to angle our knee forward, to the side? When we go forward, I tend to lean toward the side with the extended leg, is that ok? Or should I only go forward as long as I can keep my shoulders parallel with the floor? Thanks!
 
Excellent question! I also am unsure of where exactly my foot and knee are supposed to be. Thanks for asking for that to be addressed on Cathe TV!
 
Great question! I have never "gotten" how the pigeon pose was to be done. No matter how I do it, it just doesn't feel right or like a good stretch :confused:.
