Default Difference between dumbell and barbell deadlifts

Hi Cathe. Loving STS so much. I did disc 14 today and as I told some friends it's 9 little exercises that pack a wicked punch - YOWZA!

But I am wondering why you opt for dumbells on some of the deadlifts, and the barbell on others. I've begun to reach for the barbell most often because the motion seems less awkward. I'd love it if you could help me understand if there is a different dynamic in those with the dumbells that I should concentrate on. Thanks in advance.

Great question, Lorrie. Not to mention that the barbell allows you to use a heavier weight. There's no way I could hold over 100# in DBs for deadlifts!
